Directorate Of Vocational Education & Training, Mumbai ( DVET ) has been established in 1984. Previously it was the part of Directorate of Technical Education. But due to the increase in the number of ITIs, Technical HighSchools & +2 Level Junior Colleges, decision of establishing separate Direcotrate.
